Below you will find step by step instructions for replacing the heating element in the Profitec Pro 500. Before doing this we recommend draining the machine, unplugging it and allowing it to fully cool off.
Tools Needed:
- 2.5mm Allen Wrench
- 3mm Allen Wrench
- 13mm Wrench
- 17mm Wrench
1. Remove the panels from the machine, step by step instructions can be found here: Pro 500 Panel Removal
2. Remove the top nut from the copper pipe that is blocking the element with a 17mm crescent wrench. Carefully move it out of the way so you can access the element.
3. Remove the 2 wires from the element, then use the 13mm crescent wrench to remove the 3 nuts holding the element in place. From here you can swap the element and (if needed) the gasket between the element and the boiler.
